Rides Host - Fright Nights
Location: Thorpe Park, Chertsey, KT16 8PN
Hours: Full time, fully flexible.
Contract Type: Seasonal
Here at the UK's Most Thrilling Theme Park, we're gearing up to celebrate 25 Years of Fear, as Fright Nights returns! We are recruiting for Rides Hosts to join our team in delivering our award-winning theme park scare event!
You will be a part of a team working in a front line, guest facing position - delivering excellent customer service at all times and ensuring a safe and fun experience for all of our guests on Thorpe Park's world class rides and attractions! This is a fast paced, varied and active role that will see you interacting with our guests and helping them to enjoy a day out like no other!
What You'll Be Doing...
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering excellent customer service to our guests
- Hosting your designated attractions
- Working as part of a team on the front line of our Rides team
This is a fast paced and active role, which also means in most cases working outside in all weather conditions.
- Follow all training and policies and procedures at all times, ensuring that Health & Safety criteria are consistently followed and met.
- Dealing with large numbers of guests on a daily basis in tasks such as checking restraints, height checking, storing bags before they board rides, enforcing specific ride restrictions and managing queue lines - alongside working to efficiency targets to reduce queue times.
- Completing daily ride documentation and ensuring clear communication with Zonal Managers and Leads at all times.
- Provide a high level of customer service to our guests at all times, using your knowledge of the park to share the best possible information - taking all opportunities to interact with guests and ensure that any issues are resolved through positive interactions.
- Meeting cleanliness targets by carrying out set cleaning rotas and any ad hoc cleaning tasks when required, to help keep presentation at the required standards.

Qualifications & Experience
Due to nature of the role and working hours, applicants aged 18 years old or over may be given priority, however we welcome applications from those aged 16 years plus and over school leaving age.
- You'll need to be capable and able to understand theory-based learning in order to be trained and assessed on a number of attractions across the park.
- We're looking for applicants with a high level of motivation both in individual and team situations, who are able to lead and uphold the required standards in moments of pressure.
- Applicants must be proficient in the English language.
- You'll demonstrate good interpersonal and relationship building skills, along with skills in problem solving and decision-making techniques.
- High level of personal presentation and standards.
