General Summary
As the first point of contact for patients arriving at UCA’s clinics, the Medical Front Desk Clerk will:
- Greet and assist patients with check-in at kiosks
- Collect necessary documents
- Input information into EMR system
- Prepare file for office visit
- Notify physician or nurse that patient is ready to be taken back
Upon conclusion of service, schedules follow-up appointments and communicates instructions for additional services.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Must show the ability to have excellent interpersonal skills and communication to interact with all walks of life, internal and external to UCA, from all educational or cultural backgrounds.
- Must show the ability to work independently or within a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must show proficiency in use of a variety of office equipment including a PC, Windows, MS Office, EMR system, multi-line telephone, copier, facsimile machine, etc.
- Must show the ability to maintain confidentiality, including strict adherence to HIPAA and UCA Guidelines.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- May have previous experience in healthcare or in a physician clinic setting.
- May demonstrate a good working knowledge of medical terminology.
