Front Door Inspector

Adecco are recruiting for a Front Door Inspector to join our Local Authority client to support the inspection of residential front entrance doors across council-managed housing blocks. This role plays a crucial part in keeping residents safe and ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations.

Essential Requirement

  • Must hold a valid driving licence (A vehicle will be provided when available)

Contract Details

  • Location: Wandsworth
  • Rate: £18.85 per hour (PAYE) / £24.54 per hour (Umbrella)
  • Contract Type: Temporary ongoing
  • Hours: Full time, Monday - Friday

About The Role

You will carry out inspections of tenant and leaseholder front entrance doors - focusing primarily on residential buildings. Your work will help ensure that fire doors meet all required safety standards, including:

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct annual inspections of front entrance doors in high-rise residential blocks
  • Assess compliance with fire safety standards and record findings accurately
  • Identify issues, defects, and safety risks, escalating where appropriate
  • Support the management of non-compliant doors, including liaising with residents
  • Be flexible in responding to operational needs within the Building Safety Team

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid driving licence
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a high volume of inspections - the team inspects approximately 24,000 doors per year
  • Flexibility and adaptability within the role
  • Willingness to undertake required training (training will be provided)
