About the Job
As a Front-End Design Engineer at Nordic Semiconductor, you will play an important role in developing the next generation of cutting-edge Wi-Fi SoCs that power connected devices around the world. You will be working on digital IC design, from architecture and RTL implementation through verification, integration, and tape-out, using advanced technologies that push the boundaries of low-power wireless innovation. Collaborating closely with talented experts across architecture, software, verification, and implementation, you will help deliver high-quality silicon solutions that combine outstanding performance, reliability, and energy efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Front-end design and development of digital ICs for Wi-Fi SoCs, from requirements and architecture through RTL implementation and tape-out.
- Design, integrate, and verify IP blocks, subsystems, and SoCs, ensuring functionality, performance, and quality targets are met.
- Develop and maintain high-quality RTL code and verification environments to deliver robust and reliable silicon solutions.
- Drive SoC integration activities, working closely with architecture, verification, software, DFT, and implementation teams to ensure seamless product development.
- Implement and optimize low-power design techniques, contributing to industry-leading energy efficiency and performance.
- Support ASIC and FPGA synthesis, create and maintain technical specifications, and provide technical guidance and mentoring to fellow engineers.

Key Qualifications
- BSc/MSc in Electronics Engineering or similar
- Experience in digital IC design, verification, synthesis, static timing analysis or pre-silicon prototyping
- Solid understanding of RTL design and verification principles, SoC implementation, synthesis and STA.
- Knowledge of RTL implementation flows and tools, and of downstream constraints: synthesis, timing, clock-domain crossing, low-power/UPF and DFT.
- Strong proficiency in hardware description languages, including SystemVerilog, Verilog and VHDL, with a solid understanding of the end-to-end digital design flow.
- Proficiency in running/debugging LEC and VCLP violations as a design quality sign-off requirement
- Familiarity with functional verification and coverage-driven sign-off.
- Familiarity with scripting (Tcl, Python) and a Linux working environment; industry EDA toolchains
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
