About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Front End Developer to join TXP's dynamic team working on the COTAX programme. This is a contractual position for six months, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of modern, scalable web applications that serve critical public functions. The role involves working on innovative front-end solutions, utilizing the latest frameworks and best practices to ensure high performance, accessibility, and user-centric design. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing robust interfaces, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the seamless integration of front-end components with back-end services.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in front-end development with demonstrable experience in modern web technologies. Proficiency in React frameworks, particularly Remix and React Router v7, is essential. Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and progressive enhancement techniques is required to build scalable and performant applications. Hands-on knowledge of Material-UI (MUI) for component development and styling is necessary. Candidates should have a solid understanding of TypeScript to develop scalable and maintainable codebases. Additionally, experience with modern end-to-end testing frameworks such as Playwright is preferred to ensure the delivery of high-quality, bug-free applications. Relevant educational qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields are advantageous.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using React frameworks such as Remix and React Router v7.
- Implement server-side rendering (SSR) techniques to optimize application performance and SEO.
- Design and develop user interfaces utilizing Material-UI (MUI) components to ensure consistency and accessibility.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate closely with backend developers, UX/UI designers, and project managers to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Conduct thorough testing using modern E2E testing frameworks such as Playwright to identify and resolve issues early in the development cycle.
- Maintain knowledge of emerging front-end technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development practices.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness across various devices and platforms.
