About The Role
YT Technologies is seeking a talented Frontend Software Engineer to join their high-energy, multidisciplinary team in Bristol. In this role, you will take full ownership of the frontend ecosystem, ensuring implementation quality, design consistency, and seamless user experiences. The ideal candidate is action-oriented, thrives on solving complex problems, and possesses a strong passion for front-end development. You will be responsible for:
- Translating detailed UX wireframes into polished, production-ready applications
- Designing reusable components
- Contributing to system-wide improvements
- Collaborating closely with backend teams to facilitate data integration
- Leveraging AI-powered tools to enhance development efficiency
This is a full-time position offering the flexibility of a nine-day fortnight, providing a work-life balance that supports innovation and productivity.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a solid foundation in front-end development with the following qualifications:
- Strong commercial experience with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript
- Ability to build applications that consume REST APIs, with a practical understanding of frontend performance optimization and accessibility standards (WCAG)
- A disciplined approach to engineering practices, including writing clean code, thorough documentation, and effective version control using Git, pull requests, and code reviews
- Experience working within a design system and creating reusable, scalable components
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude towards learning and development
Nice to have:
- Experience with Azure cloud services
- Familiarity with data visualization libraries such as D3 or Highcharts
- A basic understanding of Python backend services
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities of this role include:
- Implementation: Translating high-fidelity UX wireframes into polished, production-ready React applications that meet design specifications and performance standards.
- Systems Thinking: Designing and implementing reusable, modular components that integrate seamlessly within a centralized design system, ensuring consistency across the product.
- Data Integration: Collaborating with backend teams to contribute to Python APIs, owning the full data flow from hardware sensors to the user interface, and ensuring real-time data accuracy and reliability.
- AI-Enhanced Delivery: Utilizing AI coding assistants such as Claude or Copilot to accelerate development cycles while maintaining high-quality standards and sound judgment.
