Front-End Developer

Focus Group I Hybrid Any UK Office - Shoreham, Milton Keynes, Birmingham, Manchester, Whiteley

We're mid-way through a full website rebuild, and we need a Front-End Developer who genuinely cares about the details. This isn't a maintenance role. You'll be helping to build the design system and component library from the ground up, working in Tailwind CSS with real creative input alongside our designers, not just implementing someone else's spec line by line.

About Focus Group

Focus Group powers the digital workplace for over 30,000 UK businesses. We're a £1bn-valued tech scale-up with 1,300+ employees across 20 offices, covering telecoms, IT, cyber security and mobile — and we're still growing fast. That means real investment in projects like this one, and real opportunity for the people building them.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you'll be doing

  • Building and maintaining responsive, accessible front-end templates and components in Statamic CMS (Antlers/Blade templating)
  • Turning Figma designs into pixel-accurate, production-ready Tailwind CSS
  • Building and owning a design system and component library that keeps the whole site consistent
  • Optimising for performance — page speed, Core Web Vitals, image and asset optimisation
  • Getting hands-on with the details that make a UI feel right: spacing, typography, interaction states, animations
  • Building flexible, editor-friendly page blocks that our content and marketing teams can actually use
  • Supporting ongoing site work — navigation, landing pages, campaign microsites
  • Keeping code clean, documented, and version-controlled in Git

What we're looking for

  • Strong commercial front-end experience, with a track record that shows real UX/UI sensibility — not just code that works, but interfaces that feel right
  • Experience with Tailwind CSS preferred — you build efficiently and consistently without reaching for custom CSS out of habit
  • Solid HTML5, CSS3 and modern JavaScript
  • A genuine grasp of UX/UI principles: layout, hierarchy, accessibility (WCAG), responsive and interaction design
  • Experience turning Figma designs into pixel-accurate front-end code
  • Understanding of front-end performance and Core Web Vitals
  • Comfortable with Git and collaborative version control workflows
