About The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Front End Developer to join a high-profile program with a leading global retail organization based in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of modern web applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. As a key member of the development team, you will collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to create responsive, scalable, and efficient web solutions. The position is a 6-month contract, inside IR35, offering a competitive daily rate within the specified range. The role is based in London with a hybrid working pattern, providing flexibility and an engaging work environment.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in front-end development, with proven experience in building modern web applications. You should have extensive knowledge of JavaScript and CSS, including responsive design principles. Familiarity with web standards and browser compatibility issues is essential. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, with experience working within Agile delivery environments. A background in collaborating with cross-functional teams and translating design concepts into functional interfaces is highly desirable. Additional skills in modern JavaScript frameworks, performance optimization, and accessibility practices will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance responsive web applications to meet business requirements.
- Build clean, reusable, and efficient front-end code that adheres to best practices.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers to translate visual designs into functional user interfaces, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, responsiveness, and scalability across various devices and browsers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, and deployment.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing applications to enhance performance and user satisfaction.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and standards.
