Front End Developer
Location: Manchester and other UK hubs | Contract: Hybrid | Compensation: Inside IR35 | Pay Rate: £330–£485 per day
We’re recruiting Front End Developers for several public-sector digital programmes. These opportunities suit developers who enjoy building accessible, well-tested services using TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js.
Available Assignments
- £330 or £340 per day: Manchester, Newcastle, or Leeds; 40% onsite working, with some travel once per sprint. BPSS required.
- £345 or £430 per day: regional UK hubs outside London; aim of 60% onsite, potentially negotiable, plus monthly travel. Active SC preferred, or high confidence of SC eligibility.
- £485 per day: Manchester, Leeds, or London; travel depends on the team. Active SC preferred, or high confidence of SC eligibility. Strong Nunjucks experience required.

What You’ll Do
- Develop and improve user-facing functionality using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Work with designers and engineers to turn user needs into accessible digital services.
- Integrate interfaces with APIs and supporting systems.
- Write automated tests, review code, and contribute to reliable releases through CI/CD.
- Share engineering knowledge and contribute to technical decisions.

What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js experience, with evidence of delivering production services.
- Depending on the assignment, relevant experience includes Express/Fastify, Nunjucks, HTML/CSS, GDS patterns, Jest/Mocha, Selenium/Playwright, and cloud-hosted integrations.
- Some assignments also require technical design and leadership experience.
