About The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Front End Developer to join a high-profile programme with a prominent global retail organization based in London. This is a contract position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of cutting-edge web applications. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers, to create seamless, engaging user experiences that align with the company's strategic objectives. The role requires a proactive approach, technical expertise, and a passion for building responsive, scalable web solutions that meet modern standards and user expectations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in front-end development, with proven experience in building modern web applications. Essential qualifications include a solid understanding of JavaScript, CSS, and responsive design principles. Candidates should have experience working in Agile environments and be adept at translating design concepts into functional interfaces. Familiarity with web standards, browser compatibility, and best practices in performance optimization and accessibility is also required. Desirable qualifications include experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries, as well as exposure to large-scale enterprise projects.

Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance responsive web applications that deliver excellent user experiences across devices and browsers.
- Build clean, reusable, and efficient front-end code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to translate visual designs into functional user interfaces, ensuring pixel-perfect implementation.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and responsiveness, implementing performance best practices.
- Work collaboratively with product teams, backend developers, and other stakeholders throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing applications, ensuring stability and performance are maintained or enhanced.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and stay updated with emerging front-end technologies and trends.

Benefits
This contract offers a competitive daily rate ranging from 650 to 750 per day, based on experience and expertise. The position is for a 6-month period with the possibility of extension, providing an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile project within a renowned global retail organization. The role offers flexibility through a hybrid working pattern, combining remote work with on-site presence in London.
