Front End Engineer (React.js)
Location: London, UK (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Fixed-Term Employment / Contract (Inside IR35)
About The Role
We are looking for a talented Front End Engineer with strong React.js expertise to help build modern, intuitive, and scalable digital experiences.
You will work closely with backend, cloud, and AI engineering teams to develop responsive user interfaces, integrate enterprise platforms, and deliver seamless user experiences powered by modern APIs and AI-driven services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications using React.js.
- Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces that support complex enterprise workflows.
- Integrate AI and backend services through secure APIs and enterprise gateways.
- Collaborate with UX, product, and engineering teams to deliver intuitive user experiences.
- Develop and maintain Python-based APIs (preferably FastAPI) to support front-end functionality.
- Integrate applications with enterprise data models, databases, and data platforms.
- Ensure front-end applications are scalable, performant, secure, and accessible.
- Support collaboration platform integrations and connected enterprise experiences.
- Apply modern engineering practices including testing, code reviews, and CI/CD processes.

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience developing applications using React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with Python and API development using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
- Strong understanding of front-end architecture, component design, and state management.
- Experience integrating applications with databases, enterprise systems, and data platforms.
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and secure API integration patterns.
- Understanding of UX principles and responsive design best practices.
- Experience working within Agile software delivery environments.

Desirable Skills
- Experience integrating AI or Generative AI services into enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and AWS environments.
- Exposure to collaboration platform integrations such as Microsoft Teams or similar enterprise tools.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
- Understanding of enterprise data platforms and data integration patterns.
