About the Role
As a React Native Frontend Developer, you’ll help bring One Sky’s free sustainability app to life, empowering users to live more sustainable lives with every day actions resulting in verifiable impact.
What difference will you make?
The screens you develop will be fundamental components of our free sustainability app, allowing us to market to government departments, local authorities, NHS trusts, corporate sustainability teams, sports teams and any community wanting to make an impact.
What are we looking for?
- Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, TypeScript, Expo-Go, and React-Native (must)
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS/Nativewind CSS, Chakra UI, or another utility-first CSS system
- Experience working from Figma wireframes and design tokens
- Ability to consume and display data from REST APIs using fetch() or Axios
- Comfort with version control (Git/GitHub)
- Clear communication in English; async-ready work ethic
- Passion for climate action and purposeful technology

Remote
What will you be doing?
You will build clean, responsive mobile screens and modular components using React Native, TypeScript, and Nativewind/Tailwind. You’ll work closely with our UI/UX team and backend engineers to deliver a seamless, engaging experience across iOS and Android.
- Building modular screens for key app flows (Home, Rewards, Impact Stats, Profile, Dashboard)
- Translating Figma wireframes into pixel-perfect components with smooth animations and transitions.
- Integrate with public-facing APIs (e.g. impact counters, X API)
- Implement reusable components with responsiveness between iOS and Android screens
- Support routing and navigation for multi-screen structure
- Handle form submissions (e.g. newsletter signup, partnership requests)
- Ensure accessibility and smooth interactions (tab navigation, screen reader labels)
- Document component structure and hand off for dev continuity
- Participate in code reviews, sprint meetings, and unit testing to uphold standard of software
