Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This position offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in significant upcoming platform releases, with a focus on implementing advanced UI components and ensuring optimal performance. As part of a collaborative environment, you will contribute to an agile development process, participate in code reviews, and advocate for best practices in front-end engineering. Technologically, you will leverage your expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a strong emphasis on Vue.js, as the company has invested heavily in modernizing its application using this framework. Your experience with component-based architecture and test-driven development (TDD) will be essential in maintaining code quality and delivering reliable features. While the primary focus is on front-end development, a secondary understanding of full-stack debugging, particularly with PHP and Python back-end issues, will be advantageous.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards learning and innovation.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong communication with team members.
  • Previous experience working in start-up or scale-up technology companies is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable front-end components using Vue.js.
  • Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless functionality.
  • Implement responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces aligned with design specifications.
  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and other team activities to uphold quality standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and best practices.
  • Engage in research and development activities, dedicating 10% of weekly time to exploring new technologies and innovations.
  • Assist in debugging and resolving front-end and back-end issues as they arise.
  • Support the onboarding and mentoring of junior team members, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of major platform releases scheduled for 2026 and beyond.
