Front of House Commis or Commis de Rang

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and dedicated Commiss de Rang to join our Front of House team at Caractere.

Working in a Michelin-starred environment, you will play a crucial role in delivering polished, discreet, and memorable service to every guest.

This is an entry-level position in high-end hospitality, ideal for someone eager to learn the art of fine dining, wine service, and world-class service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Support: Assist the Chefs de Rang and Sommelier team with smooth floor operations, ensuring tables are prepped and seamlessly turned over.
  • Food & Beverage Delivery: Run food from the pass to tables efficiently, describing dishes accurately with confidence and knowledge of ingredients/allergens.
  • Mise en Place: Maintain pristine dining room preparation, including polishing glassware, silverware, preparing service stations, and resetting tables according to Michelin standards.
  • Guest Care: Deliver warm, professional, and attentive service, anticipating guest needs throughout their meal.
  • Team Collaboration: Maintain clear communication between the front-of-house team and the kitchen pass.
