Front Line Manager – Central Belt of Scotland

Location: Commutable from Edinburgh and Glasgow
Salary: £33,000–£37,000, banded
Shift pattern: 4 on, 4 off – days

We’re excited to be working with a client looking for a Front Line Manager to join their bakery team. If you enjoy being on the production floor, supporting your colleagues and helping a shift run smoothly, this could be your next step.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, you’ll lead your allocated production area, bringing out the best in your team while keeping safety, quality and efficiency at the heart of what you do.

Key responsibilities:

  • Organise your team and resources to deliver daily production plans safely and on time.
  • Maintain food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and product quality standards.
  • Coach and develop colleagues, managing attendance and performance.
  • Monitor production results and work with other departments to reduce waste, downtime and recurring issues.
  • Act as the shift SAP Super User, keeping production, stock and waste records accurate, and deputise for the Shift Manager when required.

About you:

  • You bring 2–3 years’ relevant production leadership or supervisory experience in FMCG food manufacturing—this is essential.
  • You understand food hygiene, health and safety, and quality standards, and hold Food Safety Level 3.
  • You have SAP experience or have completed relevant SAP training.
  • You’re a hands-on team leader who communicates clearly, solves problems and stays calm under pressure.
