Front Line Operational Leader

As a Front Line Operational Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring that Cobalt consistently exceeds industry standards in safety, customer satisfaction, quality, operational performance, and employee wellbeing.

About The Role

As a leader within the organisation, your primary responsibilities involve orchestrating your team's efforts to execute all facets of the Department's operations. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that Cobalt consistently exceeds industry standards in safety, customer satisfaction, quality, performance, and employee wellbeing. This encompasses the comprehensive spectrum of leadership—from strategically guiding the operational workflow to fostering employee engagement and providing adept line management for your shift.

About You

  • Thriving on leading by example and igniting motivation among the team to collectively achieve extraordinary outcomes.
  • Ensures that all shift team members are coached and developed actively, including the giving of feedback, and identify appropriate training and development opportunities.
  • Responsible for resource planning your team within the department, and in conjunction with the Operational Support Administration team, including the effective and efficient management of rosters, leave and overtime arrangements and ensuring the Supervisor allocating staff is working efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for resource planning your team within the department, and in conjunction with the Operational Support Administration team, including the effective and efficient management of rosters, leave and overtime arrangements and ensuring the Supervisor allocation staff is working efficiently.
  • Ensures that all shift team members are coached and developed actively, including the giving of feedback, and identify appropriate training and development opportunities.
  • Acts as an ambassador for customer service and actively coaches and monitors staff on customer service and uniform standards. Liaise on a regular basis with Customer airlines, ensuring that we are providing best in class service delivery.
  • Management of staff welfare issues, including recording of absence and lateness and highlighting any irregularities that occur to Human Resources. Working with Human Resources to ensure all performance, discipline and grievance matters are reviewed and managed promptly and effectively, in accordance with Company policies and procedures and legal requirements.
  • Ambassador of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Responsible for the positive promotion of Cobalt’s mission, vision and values in the marketplace and internally.

Essential Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience.
  • Experience managing large teams.
  • Coaching and mentoring experience.
  • Full, clean, manual UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience

  • Allocation experience.
  • Employee Relations experience.
