Dalkia have an opportunity for a Front of House / Receptionist to join our Facilities Management team at our client EDF office in Hove.
Hours:
- 40 hours per week
- Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm
General Overview:
As one of the first points of contact at EDF Energy Hove, you must demonstrate excellent customer service and make all visitors to site comfortable with all arrangements.
Accompany visitors on site when needed and be the ‘expert' on site. You will be based in the reception area to carry out reception duties and welcome guests / delegates. You will be the focus and “guiding hand” to employees and visitors.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Ensure high welcoming standards and attention to detail is adhered to
- Ensure all data is captured and entered in a timely manner and that all requirements are accurately entered.
- Logging details of guests to site.
- Maintaining full and accurate written logs.
- To check all EDF and contractor passes ensuring all are up to date and valid.
- Maintain any luggage storage area in good order.
- To be fully conversant with the reception / facility computer systems including booking system and basic computer packages or have a willingness and aptitude to learn.
- Demonstrate a caring professional attitude at all times.
- Review the transport calendar making efficient use of the driving team
- Liaise closely with the Dalkia and EDF Energy teams to ensure accurate data is available and any escalations/changes are notified appropriately.
- Always maintain a smart appearance.
- Attend Meetings / Teleconferences as required.
- Maintain the strictly no smoking policy that exists on site.
- To be able to communicate with personnel at all levels.
- To be ready to change your own activities to meet different circumstances.
- To be responsive to the need to work extended / flexible hours if needed.
- To be friendly, pleasant and polite to your work colleagues
- To demonstrate a willing and positive manner.
- To attend team briefing and training sessions as required

Impact:
The role requires someone with great attention to detail and a high desire to satisfy customer needs and exceed guest expectations. A collaborative and motivated working environment is desired. You will be the day to day eyes and ears of the Facilities Manager who will expect you to provide valuable support in all front of house. This post is a key cog in the smooth running of the site.
Complexity:
This job will entail working in our EDF Hove office. Individuals will need to be calm and able to think on their feet. The following competencies will be key to your success in this role.

Previous experience in a similar customer facing role
