As a Front of House Apprentice at The Street Bakeshop, you'll learn to run a busy bakeshop floor—serving customers, making coffee and delivering genuinely great service—while earning a fully funded Level 2 qualification.
Wage
£16,640 to £26,436.80, depending on your age

Full-time, shift-based role. Shifts vary across Monday to Sunday, typically between 7.30am- 3.00pm or 8am- 4.45pm, to suit bakeshop opening hours. Some weekend and bank holiday working will be required.

What you'll do at work
As a Front of House Apprentice, you will be the face of the business, welcoming customers, serving food and drinks, and helping to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Working alongside experienced team members, you will learn valuable hospitality and customer service skills while developing confidence in a fast-paced environment.
Key Duties
- Welcome and serve customers with warmth, professionalism and confidence
- Take customer orders accurately, process payments and operate tills safely
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, teas and other hot beverages
- Serve breads, pastries, cakes and other products to the highest presentation standards
- Keep customer displays and coffee stations well stocked, clean and visually appealing
- Provide allergen information clearly and confidently to customers when required
- Clear, clean and reset tables and dining areas efficiently between customers
- Work closely with the kitchen and bakery teams to ensure food and drinks are prepared and served promptly
- Support colleagues during busy service periods, including opening and closing duties
- Follow HACCP procedures, food safety regulations and daily cleaning schedules to maintain excellent hygiene standards

- Deal with or escalate issues that impact service and customer experience, and implement any instructions given by supervisor.
- Use professional methods of communication that are tailored to different situations, and individual and team needs.
- Manages own time and workload, prioritising tasks.
- Maintain and rotate stock according to life cycle and business processes.
- Ensure equipment and technology faults and maintenance issues are reported promptly.
- Check customers are satisfied with products and services through questioning and act on feedback in line with business procedures.
- Keep up to date with changes to products and processes.
- Uses feedback to improve own performance.
- Reduces the waste of resources, taking sustainability into account, in line with business expectations.
- Follows and supports equity, diversity and inclusion legislation and principles.
- Participate in team briefings, implementing instructions, and offering input or feedback where relevant.

Desirable qualifications
- GCSE in:
