Job Description

Contract Type: Casual

Working Hours: Variable - The building is open from 8.30am to midnight - Must be available for weekends, evenings & holiday times.

Worker Type: Onsite Worker

Salary: £13.28 ph

Location: Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall, Theatre Square, Nottingham, NG1 5ND

About The Role

Casual Front of House Assistants

Front of House Assistants are key to ensuring the smooth running of the building, both during shows and during the day. They are among the public faces of the organisation and play a key part in ensuring our patrons are always placed at its heart.

Our ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate an attention to detail, be confident, approachable and able to remain calm during pressurised situations. They will have a natural flair for observational problem-solving, be self-motivating, and have excellent communication and time management skills. Elements of the job can be quite physically demanding.

Key duties include:

  • Helping and assisting customers
  • Visiting companies and staff throughout the shift
  • Opening the building to the public on time
  • Making sure it is locked and secured at the end of each day
  • Receiving deliveries and moving stock
  • Ensuring the building is presentable and clean for visitors
  • Setting up function suites
