Job Role: FoH Assistant - The Friesian Room

Location: The Hollies Farm Shop - Little Budworth

Type of contract: Full-Time

Reports to: Manager - The Friesian Room

Are you passionate about delivering outstanding customer service in a busy and friendly café/takeaway environment? The Hollies Farm Shop Friesian Room is looking for a Full-Time Front of House Assistant to join our welcoming team.

As the face of our café/takeaway, you'll provide excellent service to customers, take orders, serve food and drinks, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and help create a warm and enjoyable experience for every guest. We're looking for a positive, reliable, and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service

  • Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, welcoming experience
  • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and allergens
  • Handle customer payments with care and accuracy
  • Resolve customer concerns politely and professionally at all times

Food & Beverage Service

  • Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages to company standards
  • Serve food items in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Restock displays, fridges, and service areas as needed

Cleanliness & Organisation

  • Maintain cleanliness of all takeaway areas, including counters, equipment, indoor seating area, external seating area
  • Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including Logit records
  • Support the team during seasonal events e.g. Burger nights, seasonal prep, decorations.

  • Work collaboratively with all café staff; FoH & Kitchen
  • Follow instructions from team leaders and managers
  • Support smooth daily operations during busy periods

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Basic cash handling skills
  • Attention to detail

Additional Duties

  • Must be flexible to work weekends and across various sites within Cheshire
