Do you enjoy meeting people and creating a positive first impression?
Are you looking for a varied role where no two days are the same? As a Front of House Associate, you'll be at the heart of our service, helping visitors, supporting colleagues, and making a real difference every day.
Are you passionate about customer service?
We're looking for a Front of House Associate who can provide outstanding support while ensuring every day runs smoothly.
About the Role
By joining ESPO as a Front of House, you’ll be part of a highly successful professional buying organisation that provides cost-effective procurement and supply services to the public sector. ESPO is owned and governed by a consortium of six local authority members based in the East Midlands, with Leicestershire County Council acting as the employer.
This role sits within our HR & Admin Support team and is central to creating a welcoming, professional, and efficient front-of-house experience. You’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, customers, suppliers, and colleagues, helping to ensure enquiries are handled courteously and effectively.
No two days will be the same. From managing reception and switchboard duties to handling post, room bookings, visitor passes, deliveries, and general administration, you’ll play an important role in keeping ESPO’s day-to-day operations running smoothly. You’ll also work closely with teams across the organisation, providing flexible support where it is needed.
We’re looking for someone with:
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Strong communication skills, both face to face and over the phone
- Good organisation skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and other systems or databases
- A calm, diplomatic approach when dealing with enquiries or challenging situations
- A flexible, proactive attitude and willingness to support colleagues across the organisation
Experience in reception, switchboard, customer care, or administration would be a real advantage, but what matters most is your ability to provide a positive first impression, stay organised, and deliver a helpful, professional service.
If you enjoy working with people, take pride in providing great customer service, and want to be part of a friendly and supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
