About Kernel Global

Kernel is a group of specialist recruitment brands, currently comprised of Pure Search, Dartmouth Partners, Catalyst Partners, Luminate Partners, and end-to-end transformation consultancy, Yale Consulting.

We are currently looking to hire a Front of House Associate on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover within our Operations team, based in the heart of the City of London.

Front of House plays a vital role in creating a professional, welcoming and well-presented environment for our employees, clients and visitors. As the first point of contact for the business, you'll be at the heart of our London office, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly while delivering an exceptional experience for everyone who walks through our doors. This is a varied, fast-paced and people-focused role that combines reception, office coordination, facilities management and administrative support.

About the Role

You will be based in the office each day, ensuring Front of House operates effectively and delivering a professional and welcoming experience from the moment people enter the building.

No two days are the same and you'll be comfortable juggling a variety of responsibilities while maintaining a proactive and professional approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating a professional, welcoming and positive experience for employees, clients and visitors
  • Managing reception and meeting room bookings
  • Preparing the office each morning and ensuring it is ready for the day
  • Ensuring fresh coffee and sundries are available throughout the day
  • Receiving and managing deliveries, including catering, fruit and office supplies
  • Supporting with basic audio-visual troubleshooting
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and house-proud office environment
  • Facilities management and liaising with building operations
  • Coordinating with external suppliers to ensure high quality of service
  • Assisting with onboarding new joiners
  • Supporting the delivery of company events and employee initiatives
  • Managing the group switchboard and fielding incoming calls
  • Assisting with operational projects and continuous improvements

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in hospitality, customer service, office management, reception, or another customer-facing environment
  • A professional and friendly approach with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environment
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of tasks and solve problems
  • Adaptability and resilience, with the ability to remain calm when priorities change
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence learning new systems and technology
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a high standard of service and presentation
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team
