Job Description
Portico are on the lookout for a Front of House Manager to oversee our small team based at a multi-tenanted building in the City.
This is a highly visible role where you'll play a key part in delivering an exceptional workplace experience for clients, tenants, and visitors.
As Front of House Manager, you will be heavily involved in the day-to-day operation, ensuring consistently high service standards while building strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will also take ownership of coordinating lobby events and pop-ups, creating engaging experiences that enhance the workplace environment.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing the reception team, ensuring a professional, welcoming, and service-driven culture is maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support the reception team, ensuring exceptional customer service delivery.
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the reception operation.
- Act as the main point of contact between the client, tenants, service providers, and the wider Portico team.
- Plan and coordinate lobby events, activations, and pop-up experiences.
- Manage team scheduling, annual leave requests, and absence approvals.
- Support the completion of monthly reporting and payroll administration.
- Manage and update the building's social media channels.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and respond proactively to business needs.
- Ensure all front-of-house services are delivered to the highest standard.
- Undertake additional duties and projects as required.
Hours
- 40 hours per week, shifts from 7am-4pm, 7.30am-4.30pm, 9am-6pm, Mon-Fri.
Salary
- £43,178
Qualifications
We're looking for a confident and engaging people manager who thrives in a customer-facing environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding service.
You will have:
- Previous experience in a Reception Manager or similar front-of-house leadership role.
- Experience within a corporate reception, hospitality, or workplace environment.
- Strong people management and team leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach.
- Experience managing administration tasks, reporting, and payroll processes.
- Strong IT and social media management skills.
- A genuine passion for creating exceptional customer experiences.
