Compensation: £45,000 / year
Description
As Head of Department, the Front of House Manager will lead and oversee the day-to-day Front of House operation, taking full ownership of the department’s performance, people, and standards. You will lead by example, ensuring that every member and guest receives the warm, personal, and effortless service that defines the Club.
As a visible and hands-on leader, you will be at the heart of the member experience—ensuring every arrival, interaction, and departure feels warm, effortless, and genuinely personal. You will lead by example, setting high standards while creating a supportive environment where your team feels valued, confident, and proud of the service they deliver.
You will take responsibility for the leadership, development, and performance of the Front of House team, including our Night Team. You will build strong relationships across the Club, work closely with other departments, and ensure seamless communication and consistently high standards across every shift.

About The Role
As Front of House Manager, you will lead the day-to-day Front of House operation, ensuring that every member and guest receives the warm, personal, and effortless service that defines the Club.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, supporting, and developing the Front of House team, including the Night Team.
- Setting clear expectations and high standards while creating a positive and supportive team environment.
- Being a visible, hands-on presence within the Club, leading by example, and building strong relationships with members and colleagues.
- Ensuring consistently high standards of service across every shift, from the first welcome through to the final farewell.
- Overseeing arrivals, departures, reservations, enquiries, luggage, transport, and member requests.
- Building strong relationships with members, ensuring service is personal, intuitive, and attentive to individual needs.
- Taking responsibility for the performance and smooth running of the Night Team, ensuring they are fully integrated with the wider Front of House operation.
- Ensuring clear communication and effective handovers between day and night teams.
- Supporting the team in handling complex situations, unexpected requests, and emergencies with calmness and professionalism.
- Working closely with Housekeeping and other departments to create a seamless and exceptional member journey.
- Identifying opportunities to continually improve the Front of House experience and the way the team operates.

About You
We are looking for someone with strong Front of House and hospitality experience, excellent leadership skills, and a genuine passion for delivering warm, personalized service while maintaining the exceptional standards expected at Skibo.
You will have:
- Proven experience in a senior Front of House, Reception, Concierge, Guest Services, or Hospitality Management role.
- Experience within luxury hospitality, a private members' club, or a similar high-end environment.
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Experience managing teams across different shifts, including night operations, would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- A calm, confident, and solutions-focused approach.
- The ability to build trust while setting clear expectations and holding people accountable.
- A genuine passion for personalized and intuitive hospitality.
- Experience with hospitality systems such as PMS, POS, and reservation systems.
- A commitment to fairness, team wellbeing, and inclusive leadership.
- Creating a positive culture built on teamwork, accountability, confidence, and pride.
- Ensuring consistently high standards of service across every shift, regardless of the time of day.
- Building strong relationships with members and ensuring service feels personal, intuitive, and effortless.
- Overseeing the smooth running of arrivals, departures, reservations, enquiries, luggage, transport, and member requests.
- Taking overall responsibility for the leadership and performance of the Night Team, ensuring they are fully integrated into the wider Front of House operation.
- Ensuring clear communication and effective handovers between day and night teams.
- Supporting the team in managing complex situations, unexpected requests, and emergency situations with confidence and professionalism.
- Working closely with Housekeeping and other departments to deliver a seamless member journey.
