Front of House Manager | 9-12 Month Maternity Cover | Central London
Location: Central London (5 days a week, on site)
Contract: 9–12-month maternity cover to start in December
Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 per annum, plus a discretionary completion bonus at the end of the contract
My client, a leading real estate firm, is looking for a Front of House Manager to join their central London head office on a maternity cover contract. You will be the face of the brand, the first point of contact for visitors and colleagues, combining high-end corporate reception, concierge-level hospitality, and essential office management. Reporting to the EA to the CEO, you will make sure every visitor and colleague has a seamless experience.
Front of House and Guest Experience
- Deliver a world-class, five-star meet-and-greet service to all visitors
- Manage the main reception desk and reception inbox, working with the external call provider and handling enquiries with discretion and accuracy
- Coordinate meeting room preparation with the housekeeper, ensuring rooms, equipment, and catering are set up to a high standard
- Share office updates and activities with colleagues

Events
- Support corporate events and socials, including office, meeting room, and presentation suite set-up, catering, and ad hoc requests
Facilities
- Work with the housekeeping team to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation, and oversee daily office management, including lighting and health and safety checks
- Liaise with building management and external contractors on maintenance and compliance
- Support the Head of HR in managing outsourced suppliers such as cleaners and plant maintenance
- Facilitate building maintenance, including out-of-hours visits, and coordinate planned and reactive mechanical, electrical, and fabric works and fault reporting
Operational and Administrative Support
- Provide ad hoc administrative cover as required
- Manage post, couriers, keys, lockers, and building access for colleagues
- Raise invoice paperwork as directed
- Monitor stock and order consumables, stationery, refreshments, and kitchen supplies
Health and Safety
- Report health and safety concerns and ensure they are actioned
- Run fire safety inductions for new starters and contractors, and keep the fire logbook up to date
- Arrange and record fire extinguisher testing and first aid training, and keep first aid kits stocked
- Keep statutory documentation current, including contractor insurances and permission-to-work forms
- Support the Health and Safety Manager, including ISO 45001 requirements

- Visitors and colleagues receive a warm, professional welcome, and enquiries are handled accurately and confidentially
- Meeting rooms and the office are consistently client-ready
- Events run smoothly from set-up to clear-down
- Facilities run reliably, with faults logged and followed through to resolution
- Compliance records, access, post, and consumables are accurate and up to date
About you
- Experience in a front of house and facilities or office manager role
- Background in a property-related professional environment
- A hospitality, customer service, or business administration qualification
- First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work and fire safety training are desirable
