About The Position
Front of House & Micro-Kitchen Attendant
Part-time (20h a week) - Mon-Fri (various shifts)
The Front of House & Micro-Kitchen Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service and delivering high-quality beverages to all guests throughout the day. The Front of House & Micro-Kitchen Attendant maintain and clean the coffee station, manage the beverage offerings, and ensure that the buffet (including sandwiches, pastries, and drinks) is always well-stocked and appealing. The Front of House & Micro-Kitchen Attendant can also assist with the breakfast and lunch buffets, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction. A key part of the role is ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards at all times.
Essential Functions
Buffet & Food Service
- Manage and replenish the buffet of sandwiches, pastries, and beverages, ensuring availability and freshness throughout the day.
- Work closely with the back office team to monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of food items.
- Assist with setting up and clearing the breakfast and lunch buffet and service areas, ensuring they are always clean and well-stocked.

- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages (including coffee, tea, and other specialty drinks) to customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized coffee station, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
- Greet customers with a friendly and professional attitude, taking their orders and providing recommendations as needed.
- Ensure that all beverages are prepared to the highest quality standards, adhering to recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain an efficient workflow to handle high volumes of orders during busy periods.
Micro-Kitchen Setup And Replenishment
- Set up and regularly restock the micro-kitchen areas with snacks, beverages, and other items throughout the day to ensure continuous availability.
Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service to all guests, ensuring they have a pleasant and enjoyable experience.
- Address customer inquiries, offer product recommendations, and handle special requests with professionalism and courtesy.
- Create a welcoming and positive atmosphere for guests.
Cleanliness And Maintenance
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including the coffee station, buffet, and service areas.
- Regularly clean coffee machines, counters, and utensils to maintain hygiene standards.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and tidy working environment, ensuring all health and safety standards are met.
- Comply with all company hygiene procedures and local food safety regulations, including the proper handling, storage, and disposal of food items.

Collaboration With The Back Office
- Work in collaboration with the back office team to ensure the smooth operation of the front-of-house area and availability of products.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure that stock levels are monitored and food items are restocked as needed.

- Foster a culture of mutual respect and effective communication within the team, even during intense and demanding service periods. Ensure respectful communication with each other and with the client, maintaining professionalism and striving to create a harmonious work environment.

- Follow all established culinary processes and procedures, including proper food handling techniques, portion control, and safety guidelines.
