The Orchard, is x+why's private members club based in the prestigious Great Cumberland Place Building, directly opposite Marble Arch. The space has been designed with style, intention, and exclusivity in mind and blends refined interiors with panoramic views of Hyde Park and beyond. Our members enjoy access to curated events, premium hospitality, and an environment that encourages connection, collaboration, and an escape from the ordinary.
The bit about the role
Our fantastic Front of House team, are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join them on a casual basis (approx 18 hrs per week), to help shape the member experience. The hourly rate is £14.50 per hour + tronc and we are looking for someone to join early September. This is a varied role that combines front-of-house service at our all day dining restaurant, with event support. Whether you're welcoming members for lunch, serving drinks on the terrace or helping set up for a private function, you'll play an important role in creating the warm, welcoming atmosphere The Orchard is known for.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing friendly, attentive and professional service to our members and guests.
- Taking food and drink orders and serving confidently across restaurant, bar and event settings.
- Supporting the setup, delivery and breakdown of private events and functions.
- Maintaining high standards of presentation throughout the venue.
- Ensuring all member and guest areas are beautifully presented and ready for service.
- Building positive relationships with our members to ensure they feel welcomed and at ease.
