About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Brighton College Prep Kensington as a key member of the school’s operational and administrative team at a particularly exciting stage in the school’s development.

As the first point of contact for pupils, parents, prospective families, visitors, and staff, the Front of House Reception & Office Administrator plays a central role in shaping the daily experience of the school community. In a premium independent school environment, exceptional customer service sits at the heart of this role. The successful candidate will combine warmth, professionalism, efficiency, and discretion to ensure that every interaction reflects the school’s exceptionally high standards and values.

Working at the heart of the school, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive front of house and administrative support, helping to ensure the smooth and effective day-to-day running of the School Office. This is a varied and rewarding role suited to someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in delivering outstanding service and organisation.

The successful candidate will join a high-performing and collaborative team and will possess a positive, solution-focused approach, always seeking ways to make things possible while maintaining calm professionalism and attention to detail.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Significant experience in a front of house, hospitality, reception, or administrative role.
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a busy, service-driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional, polished, and approachable manner.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • High levels of discretion, professionalism, and reliability.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Teams, and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to remain calm, resourceful, and efficient under pressure.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Desirable

  • Experience working within an independent school or premium customer-facing environment.
  • Familiarity with school systems including iSAMS, CPOMS, and Medical Tracker.
  • Experience supporting events and hospitality.
  • First Aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training).
