HTS has an exciting opportunity for a bright, keen, energetic, and enthusiastic person to join our Front of House team in our central London office. Reporting to our Studio Coordinator and working alongside the Practice Manager, you will be the face and voice of HTS, so a positive, outgoing personality is key to this role.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Front desk duties:

  • Welcome guests
  • Answer the phone
  • Go through the mail & admin team inboxes
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail
  • Prepare refreshments for meetings
  • Clear up meeting rooms after meetings
  • Place all the weekly orders
  • Book trains, couriers, and taxis
  • Prepare the office for lock-up

Lunch duties:

  • Help prepare lunches on Mondays and Wednesdays
  • Put the chairs out and away on Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • Help serve up the meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • Clear out fridges on Fridays

Office duties:

  • Check daily stocks and place orders on:
    • Cleaners' supplies
    • Kitchen supplies
    • Bathroom supplies
    • Stationery supplies
    • PPE supplies
  • Run the dishwashers
  • Refill fruits
  • Refill coffee pots
  • Refill sanitary products
  • Refill hand soap and shower gel on Fridays
  • Water the plants
  • Check drying room and locker room in the mornings
  • General tidying up the office when needed
  • Daily headcount for chefs
  • Be trained as Fire warden
  • Help out with the fire alarm test on Fridays
  • Help out with events when necessary
  • Help out with facility maintenance when necessary

What you'll learn

Course contents

Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information, and produce data analysis where required.

Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports, and proposals. Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management.
