Front of House Manager – Electric Hair Brighton

Location: Brighton

Employment type: Full-time, on-site

Electric Hair is seeking an experienced, confident, and commercially focused Front of House Manager to lead the client experience, manage the salon team, and oversee the smooth day-to-day running of our Brighton salon.

This is a hands-on management position—not simply a reception role. It is ideal for someone who combines outstanding customer service with strong leadership, organization, and sales ability. You will ensure the team remains motivated, accountable, and focused on delivering excellent results, while every client receives the exceptional experience expected from the Electric brand.

About Electric Hair

Electric Hair is a leading British hairdressing brand founded by multi-award-winning hairdresser and International Creative Director Mark Woolley.

Since opening its first salon in Brighton in 2007, Electric has grown into a globally recognized name in professional haircare and education. The brand brings together Electric salons, the Electric Studio, Electric Education Academy, Electric Professional Products, and an award-winning Artistic Team.

Our bespoke products and education programs are now available across more than eight countries, including the USA and regions throughout the Far East, providing our team with exposure to a creative, ambitious, and forward-thinking international brand.

The role

As Front of House Manager, you will be responsible for the daily management of the salon team and the complete client journey—from the initial enquiry and booking through to arrival, service, payment, and departure.

A key part of this position is people management. You will provide clear daily direction, maintain professional standards, and ensure every team member understands what is expected of them.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the daily salon operation and maintaining Electric’s high service standards
  • Managing, motivating, and supporting the salon team
  • Preparing and managing the staff rota to ensure appropriate coverage throughout the week
  • Managing holiday requests, absence, and any necessary rota changes
  • Holding regular one-to-one meetings with team members to review performance, progress, and development
  • Setting clear actions following one-to-ones and monitoring agreed improvements
  • Driving individual and salon targets, including service revenue, rebooking, client retention, and retail sales
  • Reviewing stylist performance and identifying where additional support or improvement is required
  • Celebrating strong performance while addressing missed targets promptly and constructively
  • Supporting the onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members
  • Maintaining clear communication between the salon team and senior management
  • Addressing conduct, reliability, or performance concerns professionally and consistently
  • Creating a positive, productive, and accountable working environment
  • Running daily briefings to review bookings, targets, client requirements, and commercial opportunities
  • Creating a warm, polished, and professional experience for every client
  • Managing bookings, salon schedules, and appointment enquiries
  • Maximizing the appointment diary and actively reducing gaps and unused time
  • Coordinating effectively with stylists, assistants, and other team members
  • Supporting the team with consultations, rebooking, and retail recommendations
  • Processing payments and ensuring cash and card transactions are handled accurately
  • Managing retail displays, stock presentation, and in-salon promotions
  • Responding professionally to telephone, email, and face-to-face enquiries
  • Resolving client concerns calmly, fairly, and efficiently
  • Helping to organise salon events, launches, and education sessions
  • Ensuring the reception, retail, and waiting areas remain immaculate and welcoming

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
