Front of House Staff | Mia Italian Kitchen, Morningside

Mia Italian Kitchen is a family-run Italian restaurant, established in Edinburgh in 2013 and now a firm favourite in Morningside. We serve authentic Italian food cooked with real ingredients, a carefully chosen wine list, and the kind of warm, relaxed welcome that makes people want to stay a little longer. Morningside is our neighbourhood spot, all about locals and families enjoying a good meal at an unhurried pace, and we're looking for Front of House staff who can help us keep that feeling alive.

Full-time and part-time roles available. Availability across any day of the week, with shifts falling between 12:00 and 22:00 (our opening hours, seven days a week).

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Look after every guest from the moment they walk through the door, so they leave already planning their next visit
  • Serve food and drink with genuine care and a real feel for good hospitality
  • Build a strong knowledge of our menu, wines and daily specials, and stay on top of the latest changes
  • Answer questions with confidence, including allergy and dietary information
  • Read what each table needs and stay attentive without ever feeling intrusive
  • Handle the POS system and cash accurately
  • Keep your section clean, tidy and well stocked throughout service
  • Communicate clearly with the kitchen and the rest of the front of house team so service runs smoothly
  • Pull together as one team, especially when things get busy

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
