Being part of Jarrolds is more than a little bit different to working at any other department store. We are independent which means all the decisions are made here in Norwich and with a very long history, we have a huge amount of experience and knowledge of what Norwich loves. Living by our values, as a Jarrolds colleague, it genuinely feels like being part of one big family where each and everyone plays a valuable role in the store's success. Whatever the day brings we are in it together, showing support and care for each other.
At Jarrolds we pride ourselves on offering a fabulous dining experience to our customers whether they are stopping by for a cup of tea and one of Jarrolds delicious scones or a three course dinner with a bottle of bubbly! With four restaurants, two wine bars and a coffee shop, we mean business when it comes to eating out!

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
