Front Office Agile Project Manager (Contract)
Duration: 12 Months (Possibility for extension)
Location: London/Bromley/Hybrid (3 days per week in either site)
Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella Day Rate is available for suitable candidates
Role Profile
Our client, a leading organisation in the Investment Banking sector, is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager / Release Train Engineer (RTE) to support their Global Rates Risk technology organisation.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing delivery management, planning, governance, and Agile leadership across a portfolio of strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the lead for Rates Risk Technology to coordinate delivery across multiple teams.
- Drive alignment of priorities and roadmaps while ensuring clear visibility of progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Act as the central point of coordination for the global Rates Risk Agile Release Train, combining traditional project management responsibilities with RTE accountabilities.
- Facilitate planning events, manage cross-team dependencies, and support Programme Increment (PI) planning.
- Track delivery against objectives and promote continuous improvement across the group.
- Produce status reports, maintain project and programme governance, and ensure stakeholders are informed of key milestones, risks, and achievements.
- Work closely with technology leads and delivery teams across regions to ensure successful execution of the Rates Risk roadmap.

Skills & Experience:
- Strong project management capabilities with excellent planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end software development projects, from initiation through to delivery and post-implementation support.
- Solid understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, with hands-on experience facilitating stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and other Scrum ceremonies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft productivity and collaboration tools, including PowerPoint, Visio, Copilot, Excel, and Teams.
- Good working knowledge of JIRA, including workflow management, backlog tracking, dependency management, and reporting.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and business audiences.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage competing priorities, and drive delivery against agreed timelines and objectives.
- Experience producing clear project documentation, status reporting, risk management plans, and executive updates.
- Experience working in a banking environment is essential.
- Previous experience within Financial Services, Capital Markets, or Trading Technology environments.
- Knowledge of risk management platforms, front-office technology, or market risk processes.
