Front Office Manager | North Devon | £35,000 per annum
I am recruiting a Front Office Manager for a resort in North Devon, set in beautiful countryside and known for its hospitality, dining and leisure offering.
The opportunity
This is a senior role leading Reception, Reservations, Guest Services and Night Operations. You will own the guest journey from first booking to departure, lead three teams, and work closely with Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, Leisure and Maintenance to keep the resort running smoothly. You will report to the Operations Manager.
The role
- Lead, coach and develop the Front Office, Reservations and Night teams
- Own the guest experience from reservation through to departure
- Set and uphold service standards in every guest interaction
- Grow revenue by upselling accommodation, dining, leisure experiences and resort activities
- Manage the departmental budget, labour costs and performance targets
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues across every resort department
- Handle guest feedback and service recovery calmly and professionally
- Keep the department efficient and consistently well presented

About you
- Experience as a Front Office Manager, or in a senior front office leadership role, within a hotel or resort
- A track record of leading, coaching and developing teams
- Sound knowledge of front office operations, reservations and guest services
- Commercial awareness, with experience managing budgets and departmental performance
- Working knowledge of Opera, Harri, Revinate and Procure Wizard
- Clear communication, strong organisation and close attention to detail
- A calm, solution-focused approach in a fast-paced environment
