At The July
We are on the hunt for an authentic Front Office Night Host, or as we call it: Night Guest Service Pro for our premium aparthotel in the heart of London. The location is a sustainable city oasis with 114 studios and two residential apartments. The property is also the home for our restaurant The Idler, a restaurant, bar, and deli, serving both neighbors and guests, ensuring our spaces stay lively and vibrant all day and night.
The Job
- Your shift kicks off at 23:00 with a team handover, setting you up to manage reception operations, making sure every guest has what they need for a comfortable stay.
- You’ll be the first point of contact for late check-ins, answering questions, and handling any overnight requests.
- But you're not just a point of contact – you’ll also monitor the hotel's atmosphere and ensure the safety of both guests and staff.
- As the night winds down, you’ll prep everything for the morning team, take care of wake-up calls, and wrap things up by 7:00.
Your role is all about providing seamless experience for our guests while keeping the energy positive and relaxed throughout the night. Think of it as the perfect balance between keeping things running smoothly and adding that personal touch that makes all the difference!

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
