About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Consultant to join our team at SLR Consulting. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality environmental assessment and management services to our clients across various sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of environmental regulations and standards, along with excellent analytical and communication skills. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop sustainable solutions, conduct field assessments, prepare detailed reports, and support project implementation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that promote environmental protection and sustainable development. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), Certified Environmental Professional, or similar credentials will be advantageous.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in environmental consultancy or related fields, with proven expertise in conducting environmental impact assessments, site investigations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international environmental legislation, standards, and best practices is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools such as GIS, MS Office, and environmental modeling programs.
  • Proactive, team-oriented mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are key attributes for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive environmental assessments and site investigations to identify potential impacts and risks.
  • Preparing detailed reports and documentation in compliance with local and international regulations, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Engaging with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to communicate findings and recommend sustainable solutions.
  • Supporting project management activities, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Staying updated on evolving environmental legislation and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to contribute to the development of environmental management plans, remediation strategies, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Mentoring junior team members and participating in business development efforts, such as proposal writing and client presentations.
