About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting a wide range of environmental projects, including environmental impact assessments, site investigations, and sustainability initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental regulations and best practices, along with excellent analytical and communication skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects that contribute to sustainable development and environmental stewardship. You will collaborate closely with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to deliver innovative solutions and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and legislation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental consultancy or a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, impact assessment methodologies, and data analysis tools is essential. Candidates should demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Relevant certifications such as ISO 14001 Lead Auditor or similar will be considered an advantage. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required are also necessary.

Responsibilities

As an Environmental Consultant at SLR Consulting, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting environmental site assessments and investigations to identify potential impacts and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports, technical documents, and environmental management plans in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting clients in obtaining necessary permits and ensuring compliance with local, national, and international environmental laws.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives and environmental management systems.
  • Engaging with stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and clients, to communicate project objectives and outcomes effectively.
  • Staying updated on emerging environmental regulations and industry best practices to ensure the company’s services remain at the forefront of the field.
  • Participating in project meetings, site visits, and fieldwork to gather data and provide technical expertise.

You will be expected to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
