Front End Developer Opportunities | Contract | Government Projects
We're currently supporting multiple Front End Developer contract opportunities delivering large-scale digital transformation and citizen-facing services.
These roles involve building and enhancing modern web applications, working within multidisciplinary agile teams, contributing to greenfield development, improving user experiences, and ensuring services meet accessibility and security standards. You'll be involved in technical design, development, testing, CI/CD and cloud-based delivery.

Required Skills
- JavaScript & TypeScript
- Node.js
- HTML & CSS
- Unit Testing / TDD
- Playwright or Selenium
- CI/CD (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins or similar)
- Accessibility (WCAG)
- REST APIs & Microservices
- Agile delivery (Scrum / Kanban)
Desirable
- Nunjucks
- AWS and/or Azure
- Redis
- GDS standards and design patterns
- Experience delivering public sector digital services
Locations
- Newcastle
- Manchester
- Leeds
- Other UK delivery locations (excluding London on some assignments)
- Hybrid working, typically 40-60% onsite
- Occasional travel required

Clearance
- BPSS
- Active SC preferred, or candidates eligible for SC clearance
Rates
- £320-£325/day Inside IR35
- £410/day Inside IR35
- £475/day Inside IR35
NB - Higher rates need active SC clearance.
