About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team at SLR Consulting. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive environmental assessments, supporting project management, and providing expert advice to clients across various industries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of environmental regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that promote sustainable development and environmental protection. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engage with clients, and ensure that all project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, permitting processes, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools such as MS Office, GIS, and environmental modeling software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Professional certification such as EIA Certification or similar is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and prepare detailed reports to support project development and regulatory approvals.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of environmental management plans.
  • Support project teams in identifying environmental risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Engage with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure compliance and facilitate effective communication.
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics throughout project lifecycles.
  • Stay updated with evolving environmental legislation, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Participate in site visits, audits, and field investigations as required.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by preparing proposals and participating in client meetings.
