About The Role
YT Technologies is seeking a talented Frontend Software Engineer to join their dynamic team in Bristol. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of the frontend ecosystem, ensuring high-quality implementation and design consistency across projects. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be instrumental in translating high-fidelity UX wireframes into polished, production-ready applications. Your work will directly impact the user experience of sophisticated motion control systems that operate at the cutting edge of technology. The ideal candidate is action-oriented, enjoys tackling complex problems, and is passionate about creating seamless, efficient, and accessible user interfaces. This position is a full-time office-based role, with an option to work a 9-day fortnight, providing flexibility for work-life balance.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and relevant experience, including:
- Proven commercial experience with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript, demonstrating the ability to build scalable and maintainable frontend applications.
- Ability to consume REST APIs effectively, with a solid understanding of frontend performance optimization and accessibility standards (WCAG).
- A disciplined approach to engineering practices, including rigorous code quality, comprehensive documentation, and version control using Git, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Nice-to-have skills include experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, familiarity with data visualization libraries like D3 or Highcharts, and a basic understanding of Python backend services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude towards learning and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Implementation: Translate high-fidelity UX wireframes into polished, production-ready React applications, ensuring responsiveness and visual fidelity.
- Systems Thinking: Design and develop reusable, modular components that integrate seamlessly with a centralized design system, promoting consistency and efficiency.
- Data Integration: Collaborate with backend teams to contribute to Python APIs, managing the full data flow from hardware sensors to the user interface.
- AI-Enhanced Delivery: Utilize AI coding assistants such as Claude or Copilot responsibly to accelerate development cycles while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
