๐Ÿ”น Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced UI Developer / Front-End Developer to join our team in Glasgow. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Next.js, React.js, React Server Components (RSC) and building scalable, configuration-driven user interfaces.

๐Ÿ”น Key Requirements

  • Strong experience in Next.js and React.js development.
  • Hands-on experience with React Server Components (RSC) and modern Next.js architecture.
  • Good understanding of Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Static Site Generation (SSG) and Client Components.
  • Experience building configuration-driven / metadata-driven dynamic layouts and UI frameworks.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Good understanding of responsive web design.
  • Experience with React state management solutions such as Context API, Redux, Zustand, etc.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and handling asynchronous data fetching.
  • Familiarity with component libraries and design systems.
  • Understanding of web performance optimisation and accessibility standards.
  • Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience with Micro-Frontend architecture.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library or Cypress.
  • Exposure to headless CMS platforms and content-driven applications.

  • Develop and maintain scalable front-end applications using Next.js and React.
  • Design and implement dynamic, configuration-driven UI components and layouts.
  • Leverage React Server Components to improve application performance and user experience.
  • Collaborate with backend, product and UX teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Optimise applications for speed, scalability and maintainability.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of front-end architecture and development standards.

  • 6+ years of overall front-end development experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Next.js and the modern React ecosystem.
  • Strong experience developing production-grade, scalable web applications.
