About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive environmental assessments, conducting field surveys, and providing strategic advice to clients across various sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of environmental regulations, impact assessment processes, and sustainable practices. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions that address complex environmental challenges. Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Geography, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or a similar industry is required. Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, impact assessment methodologies, and permitting processes is essential. Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills are necessary to effectively convey complex information to clients and stakeholders. Familiarity with GIS software, environmental modeling tools, and data analysis platforms will be considered an advantage. The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously, is key to success in this role.

Responsibilities

As an Environmental Consultant at SLR Consulting, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting environmental impact assessments and audits to identify potential risks and mitigation measures.
  • Leading field surveys, collecting and analyzing environmental data, and preparing detailed reports that meet regulatory standards.
  • Providing strategic advice to clients on environmental compliance, permitting, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Coordinating with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure project objectives are met within scope and deadlines.
  • Staying updated on evolving environmental regulations and industry best practices, integrating this knowledge into project planning and execution.
  • Mentoring junior staff and contributing to business development efforts through proposal writing and client engagement.
