About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Developer specializing in React and Next.js to join our dynamic digital transformation team. This is a pivotal role at an exciting stage of a major modernization initiative aimed at enhancing a critical business-facing management platform. The successful candidate will take ownership of key aspects of frontend architecture, focusing on refactoring and modernizing existing applications using the latest Next.js capabilities. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams including UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performance digital solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the long-term technical direction of a vital enterprise platform, ensuring it remains robust, maintainable, and aligned with modern best practices.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have extensive commercial experience with React.js and Next.js, demonstrating a deep understanding of modern frontend architecture and development principles. Proven experience in delivering frontend refactors, migrations, or significant application modernization projects is essential. Candidates should possess strong hands-on expertise with Next.js features such as App Router, Server Components, and Server Actions. A solid understanding of integrating frontend applications with APIs and backend services, particularly OpenAPI-driven Node.js backends, is required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently, making informed technical decisions, are crucial. Experience working within enterprise environments or complex digital transformation projects will be advantageous. A proactive, collaborative, and delivery-focused mindset is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities
- Lead the refactoring of an existing frontend application utilizing Next.js App Router and modern architecture patterns.
- Implement and optimize Server Components and Server Actions to enhance application performance and scalability.
- Develop and maintain scalable, reusable UI components using React and Next.js frameworks.
- Integrate frontend functionalities seamlessly with an OpenAPI-driven Node.js backend service architecture.
- Implement and optimize client-side and server-side caching strategies to improve application responsiveness.
- Enhance application stability, performance, and overall user experience through best practices and innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate designs into high-quality, responsive frontend solutions.
- Work closely with backend engineers to ensure alignment of frontend implementation with API specifications and backend capabilities.
- Participate in the refinement of user stories, requirements, and delivery plans to ensure clarity and feasibility.
- Engage in stakeholder discussions and presentations, providing technical insights and progress updates.
- Contribute to frontend architecture and technical decision-making to shape the future state of the platform.
