About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team at SLR Consulting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality environmental assessments, impact studies, and sustainability strategies for a diverse portfolio of projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on challenging projects that contribute to environmental protection and sustainable development. The Environmental Consultant will collaborate closely with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards. Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred. Professional certification such as an Environmental Professional (EP) or similar accreditation is desirable. Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting, impact assessment, or related disciplines. Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, permitting processes, and impact assessment methodologies is essential. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills are required. The ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team is crucial. Proficiency in relevant software tools and GIS applications will be an advantage. Candidates must demonstrate a proactive approach, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting environmental impact assessments and feasibility studies
  • Preparing technical reports
  • Ensuring compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations
  • Gathering and analyzing environmental data
  • Identifying potential impacts and developing mitigation measures to minimize adverse effects
  • Liaising with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals
  • Engaging with clients to understand their project needs, providing expert advice, and supporting the development of sustainability strategies
  • Contributing to the preparation of proposals
  • Participating in environmental audits
  • Supporting business development initiatives
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation
  • Ensuring timely delivery of deliverables
