About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team at SLR Consulting. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting environmental assessments, conducting site investigations, and providing strategic advice to clients across various sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of environmental regulations and best practices, with the ability to analyze complex data and communicate findings effectively. Qualifications

  • Relevant degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geography, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental consulting or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, permitting processes, and impact assessment methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills, proficiency in data management, and experience with GIS and environmental modeling software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare comprehensive reports and present complex information clearly.
  • A proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental site assessments, including baseline studies and impact assessments, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Support project teams in preparing environmental permits, reports, and documentation required for regulatory approvals.
  • Perform data collection, analysis, and interpretation to evaluate environmental conditions and potential risks.
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans and mitigation strategies.
  • Engage with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to communicate project progress and address environmental concerns.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, proposals, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Stay updated on changes in environmental laws, standards, and best practices, integrating these into project work as appropriate.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and supporting the preparation of bids and proposals.
