Frontend Engineer (React, Typescript)

Remote (1 day a month on site in London) | Up to £85,000

We’re partnering with a fast-growing scale-up, product-led technology company who are looking to hire a Front End Engineer to work on a brand new product they are looking to take to market.

This is a highly impactful, hands-on role where you’ll build and shape products that directly influence how the business scales.

We are seeking a Frontend Engineer to join our innovative and collaborative engineering team. In this role, you will design and develop intuitive, engaging, and high-performance user interfaces that deliver exceptional digital experiences. Working closely with Backend Engineers and the Product team, you will help build seamless, user-centred solutions that improve security, productivity, and overall value for our clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop polished, responsive web pages and reusable components using React.
  • Maintain and enhance website functionality, usability, and consistency with brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Backend Engineers and product teams to deliver seamless integrations and improve the user experience.
  • Gather and analyse user feedback to implement effective solutions that increase engagement and satisfaction.
  • Translate requirements into functional specifications, wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes.
  • Support Backend Engineers with development, debugging, and troubleshooting where required.
  • Optimise applications for performance, scalability, and accessibility while following security and maintainability best practices.
  • Keep up to date with emerging frontend technologies, tools, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, and React, with practical experience using HTML and other markup languages.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the web development lifecycle, from initial design through to development, testing, and deployment.
  • Apply browser testing and debugging techniques, with hands-on experience using testing frameworks such as React Testing Library.
  • Understand SEO principles, UX/UI best practices, and visual design fundamentals to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
  • Work effectively within Agile development environments, adapting to changing priorities and delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced setting.
  • Utilise cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure to support scalable, reliable, and efficient application deployment.

Competitive Salary

  • Mid Level: up to £65,000
  • Senior Level: up to £85,000
