About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Frontend Software Engineer to join our dynamic team on a six-month contract basis, with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining frontend applications that enhance our client’s digital platforms. This position requires onsite presence in Manchester four days a week, offering an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative environment focused on delivering impactful solutions in the financial services industry. The role offers a competitive daily rate of £550-£600, inside IR35, and provides an excellent platform for professional growth and contribution to high-profile projects.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS, with a strong foundation in component-based architecture. Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and version control systems, is essential. Leadership experience is required to mentor team members and promote best practices. Candidates should have a solid understanding of Agile methodologies, including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and pair programming. Preferred qualifications include networking knowledge such as subnets, firewalls, load balancing, and VPN configurations, as well as experience with security and identity management, monitoring and logging, and troubleshooting complex issues. Prior experience in financial services or highly regulated environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and enhance frontend applications tailored for our clients’ needs. You will work within a dedicated team to create innovative frontend products, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and user-friendly. Sharing knowledge and mentoring junior team members will be integral to your role, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. You will collaborate closely with backend developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers to deliver seamless user experiences. Additionally, you will be involved in implementing DevOps practices, automating deployment processes, and ensuring robust security protocols are in place. Your problem-solving skills will be vital in debugging and resolving issues efficiently, maintaining high standards of code quality and performance.
