About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team at SLR Consulting. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing environmental assessment projects, providing expert guidance to clients, and ensuring compliance with relevant environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of environmental policies, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects across various sectors, including infrastructure, energy, and industrial development, contributing to sustainable solutions that benefit communities and the environment alike.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred. Relevant professional experience of at least 3-5 years in environmental consultancy or related sectors is required. Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, permitting processes, and impact assessment methodologies is essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in industry-standard software tools, are necessary. The ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving are highly valued. Certifications such as ISO 14001 Lead Auditor or similar are advantageous.

Responsibilities
As an Environmental Consultant at SLR Consulting, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting environmental impact assessments and preparing detailed reports that meet regulatory standards and client expectations.
- Providing technical guidance and support to clients on environmental compliance and sustainability practices.
- Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
- Engaging with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to facilitate project approvals and address environmental concerns.
- Carrying out site visits, data collection, and environmental monitoring activities to support assessment processes.
- Staying updated with current environmental legislation and industry best practices to ensure all projects adhere to legal requirements.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions that balance environmental, social, and economic factors.
- Contributing to business development efforts by preparing proposals, presentations, and supporting client relations.
