About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive environmental assessments, managing project deliverables, and providing expert guidance to clients across various sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in environmental sciences, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the development of innovative strategies that promote sustainable development and environmental stewardship. Qualifications

The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Geography, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred. Relevant professional certifications such as IEMA or equivalent are highly desirable. Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a strong understanding of environmental legislation, impact assessments, and mitigation strategies. Excellent analytical skills, proficiency in environmental modeling and data analysis software, and a solid grasp of project management principles are essential. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, along with exceptional communication skills, are vital for success in this role.

Responsibilities

As an Environmental Consultant at SLR Consulting, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting environmental impact assessments
  • Preparing technical reports
  • Ensuring compliance with local and international environmental regulations
  • Collaborating with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to develop and implement environmental management plans
  • Managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure timely completion
  • Identifying potential environmental risks and proposing effective mitigation measures
  • Contributing to business development activities by supporting proposal writing, client presentations, and networking efforts
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and regulatory changes to provide accurate and relevant advice to clients
