Frontend Engineer
One of the world’s leading ecommerce travel platforms are hiring for a Front End Engineer
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Frontend Engineer to join an established engineering team. You will build, maintain, and improve modern web applications, delivering high-quality features in short development cycles.
This role is best suited for engineers who can quickly understand an existing codebase, become productive with minimal guidance, and consistently deliver production-ready software.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain modern frontend applications using contemporary web technologies.
- Deliver features from technical design through implementation and release.
- Translate business requirements, designs, and mockups into high-quality user interfaces.
- Break down complex work into manageable implementation tasks.
- Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, designers, QA, and other stakeholders.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Debug production issues and improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to frontend architecture and engineering best practices.
- Monitor application health using observability and performance monitoring tools.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and production deployments.

Must Have
- 3+ years of professional frontend development experience.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with React or Vue.js.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.
- Experience building responsive, cross-browser, and cross-platform web applications.
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture and modern development patterns.
- Experience consuming REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Experience writing unit tests and maintaining high code quality.
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience debugging and supporting production applications.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
- Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to quickly understand large existing codebases.
- Ability to work independently with minimal onboarding.
- Strong focus on delivery, quality, and ownership.

Nice to Have
- Experience with Node.js.
- Experience with GraphQL.
- Experience with AWS or GCP.
- Experience with A/B testing and data-driven product development.
- Experience optimizing frontend performance and Core Web Vitals.
- Experience working on large-scale consumer-facing applications.
- Experience mentoring engineers and conducting code reviews.
- Experience proposing architectural or product improvements.

This role offers £600 per day for 6 months inside of IR35 with 1 day a week in Manchester.
